Compact22–A Better Way Forward: Innovation with Equity at the Center
March 29, 2022 - March 31, 2022
Compact22 is Campus Compact’s all-virtual 2022 national conference. It is the largest and most inclusive national conference focused on the role of higher education in building healthy communities and fostering a just and equal democracy.
Dates: March 29–31, 2022
Times: 11:00 am – 6:00 pm Eastern time
Location: Virtual
In the past two years, we have faced a COVID-19 pandemic, an overdue racial justice reckoning, and deep threats to our democracy. The turbulence of our recent history has clearly illustrated our shortcomings—and the possibilities for positive change. It is the responsibility of higher education to seize the opportunity of this moment to build a new, more just world.
Compact22 sessions will explore topics in civic engagement, community-engaged research, civic and service learning, institutional change, university-community partnerships, and more. This vital national conference is designed to provide vital information to help campus and community leaders create the positive change we seek. It offers resources, professional development, networking opportunities, and inspiration for community engagement professionals, engaged faculty, community partners, student civic leaders, and campus senior leaders.
The keynote speaker for Compact22 will be Dr. Bettina Love. Dr. Love is an award-winning author and the Athletic Association Endowed Professor of Education at the University of Georgia. Her writing, teaching, research, and education advocacy meet at the intersection of education reform, anti-racism, carceral studies, abolition, and Black joy.
